Peterson Place
Peterson Place in Surrey provides low barrier housing for adults (singles and couples; no children) who are at risk of homelessness.
Fraserside operates the 93 self-contained units at Peterson Place on behalf of BC Housing. We manage day to day operations including maintenance and security, and provide tenant support as needed. A new housing complex was constructed in 2020 at Peterson Place that includes 38 modular units each with a private washroom and kitchen. The building also includes disability-accessible units, a commercial kitchen, dining and lounge areas, storage and amenity space, laundry and a medical room. These units are an addition to the existing 55 units on site.
95% of the people we served at Peterson Place remained housed for six months or more (2016-2017 fiscal year).
We manage Peterson Place with a harm reduction philosophy and person centered approach. Our on-site team engages with tenants to build positive relationships and rapport, working with individuals to maintain their housing.
Fraserside supports tenants to meet self identified goals by connecting them to services and resources in the community such as education, health, employment and life skills and transition planning.
